Product Description
Uncured Silicone Coated Fiberglass Cloth Heat Resistant for Battery Heating

Uncured Silicone Coated Fiberglass Cloth is a flexible composite material made from high-strength fiberglass fabric coated with uncured silicone rubber. It combines the mechanical strength and dimensional stability of fiberglass with the heat resistance, electrical insulation, and environmental resistance of silicone rubber.

Before curing, the silicone coating remains soft and flexible, allowing the material to be easily cut, wrapped, formed, and shaped around complex surfaces. After heat curing, the silicone rubber forms a durable protective layer that provides reliable thermal protection, electrical insulation, and sealing performance.

This uncured silicone fiberglass cloth is suitable for applications that require custom forming before final curing, including EV battery heating systems, battery thermal management, industrial heating equipment, aerospace components, and electrical insulation.

Technical Specifications
Material Structure Fiberglass Fabric + Silicone Rubber Coating
Working Temperature -40°C to 200°C
Flame Resistance UL94 V-0
Advantages
  • Excellent Formability Before Curing: The uncured silicone coating remains soft and flexible, making the fiberglass cloth easy to cut, wrap, bend, and form around irregular or complex surfaces.
  • Heat and Flame Resistance: The silicone-coated fiberglass structure provides reliable resistance to elevated temperatures and flame exposure. The typical working temperature range is -40°C to 200°C.
  • Electrical Insulation: The silicone rubber coating provides electrical insulation, making the material suitable for battery systems, electrical components, heating elements, and other insulation applications.
  • Flexible Thermal Protection: The combination of fiberglass reinforcement and silicone rubber provides a flexible solution for thermal protection, insulation, sealing, and surface protection.
Applications
  • EV Battery Heating and Thermal Management: Used in electric vehicle battery heating systems, battery thermal management components, and flexible heating assemblies where heat resistance, insulation, and formability are required.
  • Industrial Heating Equipment: Suitable for heating blankets, heating elements, thermal insulation components, and other industrial heating equipment.
  • Aerospace Applications: Used for flexible thermal protection, insulation, sealing, and protective components in aerospace and high-temperature environments.
  • Electrical Insulation: Suitable for electrical insulation and protection where flexible, heat-resistant, and flame-resistant materials are required.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
  • What is the difference between uncured and cured silicone coated fiberglass cloth? The main difference is the condition of the silicone coating. Uncured silicone coated fiberglass cloth remains soft and formable, allowing it to be shaped around complex surfaces before curing. After heat curing, the silicone coating becomes a more stable and durable rubber layer.
  • Can the material be customized? Yes. Parameters such as fiberglass fabric type, silicone coating, thickness, width, and other material properties can be adjusted according to the intended application and processing requirements.
